About Jasper
Jasper is a travelling fox with a slightly rumpled khaki explorer's jacket, a small battered satchel and a pair of glasses that sit a little low on his nose. He considers himself a seasoned adventurer, which is mostly true, except when it isn't.Every month he writes to your child from somewhere in the world. What he saw, what he heard, the people he met and the things that surprised him. And woven into every letter, whatever the destination, are words and phrases from the language your child is exploring - French or Spanish, chosen by you.Your child does not need another screen. They need a fox who notices things.
Jasper writes slowly and carefully, because he believes the small things are worth paying attention to. Every month a letter arrives with something to read, something to make and something to keep, and a language woven in so naturally it simply becomes part of how Jasper sees the world.One letter. Each monthly kit contains everything your child needs for a proper adventure:✦ A letter from Jasper - written on headed paper from wherever he finds himself this month. Observationally rich, genuinely funny, and full of the selected language woven naturally into his adventures.✦ 12 vocabulary cards - beautifully printed and ready to use. Cut them out and tuck them into a pocket, stick them into your scrapbook, or keep them as flash cards. Jasper keeps his in his explorer's jacket. I wanted to create something that got children off screens and into the world - something beautiful and tactile that they could be proud of making themselves - something they want to show to everyone.Languages have always felt like doors to me - and I wanted children to feel that too, before the world tells them it's too difficult.Jasper arrived fully formed one afternoon and refused to leave.
